We prefer communication via email. Please fill out the form on our website, and we will get back to you with an answer, an offer, and all the details.
Do I pay a deposit and how much is it?
The deposit is 15% of the total price. The remaining balance is paid upon arrival at the apartment.
Can I cancel my reservation and what are the rules?

Which payment methods are accepted?
Cash payment (EUR) upon arrival or bank transfer (SEPA) prior to arrival.
Is the tourist tax paid separately or is it included?
The tourist tax is included in the price — there are no additional costs.

Prices are fixed throughout the entire season, and we currently do not offer special discounts for longer stays. Our goal is to maintain fair prices from the start, with no hidden extras.
Is there a discount for early bookings or last minute?
Prices are fixed throughout the season and we do not offer special discounts for early bookings or last-minute stays — our aim is for every guest to receive the same fair price. For advance bookings, we guarantee the availability of your chosen apartment and dates, and for last-minute inquiries, feel free to get in touch — we often have availability.
Can I book multiple apartments at once (group, family)?
Of course — we often host families or friends who book 2–3 apartments together. For group bookings, we are happy to arrange a special package.
How do I know that my booking is confirmed?
After your inquiry, we check availability and send an email confirming the dates, apartment, final price, and payment instructions for the deposit. The reservation is confirmed once you pay the deposit or when you confirm in writing via email — whichever we agree upon.

Check-in and check-out

What time is check-in?
You can check in from 14:00 onwards — by then, your apartment is ready, clean, and waiting for you.
What time is check-out?
Please vacate the apartment by 10:00 in the morning — this gives us enough time to prepare everything for the next guests.
Can I arrive earlier (early check-in)?
We only know if the apartment will be ready for early check-in on the day of arrival — it all depends on the departure of previous guests and preparing the apartment. Therefore, please contact us the day before or in the morning on the day of arrival with your approximate arrival time, and we will confirm if early entry is possible. If it is not ready when you arrive, feel free to leave your luggage with us, use the parking, and head to the beach (30 m) — we will let you know as soon as the apartment is ready.
Can I stay longer on the day of departure (late check-out)?
Late check-out depends on the arrival of the next guests — get in touch with us the day before, and we will try to arrange it. If the next guests are arriving later, it is usually possible free of charge.
Who welcomes me upon arrival?
The contact person for all inquiries and bookings is son Mario — he answers your messages and emails. Upon arrival, you will be personally welcomed by the owner Ivica, who is there as your host throughout your stay — always available for advice on the beach, restaurants, and excursions.
What if I arrive late in the evening or at night?
No worries — Marina is small, and we know how long travel can take. Just let us know your approximate arrival time on WhatsApp, and we will wait for you — even at midnight if needed.
Do I need to bring an ID or passport?
We will only need to briefly see the identity documents (ID card or passport) of all guests — it is a legal requirement to register you in the eVisitor system. We return them immediately; we do not retain anything.
Can I leave luggage before check-in or after check-out?
Of course — if you arrive earlier or have a delayed flight, feel free to leave your luggage with us by prior arrangement with host Ivica. Your luggage is safe, and you can make the most of your day at the beach (30 m) or visit Trogir (a 15-minute drive).

Apartments — general

How many apartments does Villa Bilic have?
We have 7 apartments of various sizes, from a studio apartment for a couple to large apartments for 6–8 people — accommodating up to 30 guests in total.
Do all apartments have a sea view?
All our apartments have a sea view from the terrace. Apartment 4 has a somewhat more modest view compared to the others — we recommend looking at the photos on the Apt 4 page to see if it matches what you are looking for.
What is the difference between Apartment 7 and Apartment 8?
These are our two largest apartments, both 90 m² with 3 bedrooms. The standard capacity is 6 people in each, with the option to accommodate an additional 2 people (8 in total) by prior arrangement and for an extra charge. The price is the same. Differences in layout: Apt 7 has two terraces — a smaller one with a sea view (for morning coffee) and a larger one behind the apartment under the shade of grapevines (for dinner and relaxing); separate kitchen. Apt 8 has one large sea-facing terrace with the kitchen connecting directly to it through a doorway — ideal for outdoor meals together; one of the bedrooms has an ensuite toilet, providing privacy for the master bedroom and making mornings easier when traveling with a larger group. Both apartments are located on the second floor.
Which apartment is best for a couple?
For a couple, we recommend Apt 4 — a 25 m² studio apartment designed specifically for 2 people. Sea view, private terrace, air conditioning, kitchen — everything needed for a peaceful getaway for two. It is the most affordable option in our offer (from €45 in the low season).
Which apartment is best for a family with children?
Depending on the size of the family: for a larger family (5–6 people), we recommend Apt 7 or Apt 8 — 3 bedrooms, terraces for outdoor living; Apt 8 has an added advantage — the kitchen opens onto the sea terrace, and one bedroom has an ensuite toilet. For a small family (2 adults + 2 children), Apt 2 or Apt 3 are great options — 2 bedrooms, on the 1st floor (fewest stairs). A couple with one child fits comfortably in the Apt 4 studio. An important note for parents: apartments 5 and 6 are on the third floor, and their terraces are at a higher elevation — please take extra care with small children and do not leave them unattended on the terraces. For families with very young children, we recommend the lower floors (Apt 2, 3, or 8). The beach is 30 m from the apartments, and the children's playground is 200 m (a 3-minute walk) away.
Which apartment is best for a larger group (8 people)?
Our two 'large' apartments are perfect for a group of 8 — Apt 7 and Apt 8. Both feature 3 bedrooms, 90 m² of space, and terraces for gathering together.
Is there a ground-floor apartment (no stairs)?
To be completely honest, none of our apartments are on the ground floor — Villa Bilic has 3 floors. Apt 2 and 3 have the fewest stairs (first floor). If you need an option with absolutely no stairs, please let us know — we will recommend the best solution for you or suggest an alternative in Marina.
Does every apartment have a balcony or terrace?
Yes, every apartment has its own private terrace.
Can I get an apartment with a separate kitchen?
Most apartments have an open-plan kitchen (kitchen-living area), which is typical for seaside apartments. Apt 7 and 8 have larger, separate kitchen spaces. Please reach out if you need a specific configuration.
How large is the smallest apartment?
The smallest is Apt 4 — a 25 m² studio for 2 people.
How large is the largest apartment?
The largest are Apt 7 and Apt 8 — both 90 m², capacity 6+2 people, 3 bedrooms.
Can I see floor plans of the apartments?
We do not offer floor plans at the moment, but each apartment has a detailed photo gallery (10–25 photos) on its page, along with descriptions of the rooms and amenities.

Do I get towels and how often are they changed?
Towels (bath towel + smaller hand towel) are included in the price and are changed once a week during your stay. Beach towels are not included — please bring your own or purchase them in Marina. For longer stays or special requests (allergies, more people sharing a bed), speak to Ivica for an extra change.

Do you provide coffee, salt, oil — the basics upon arrival?
We currently do not prepare a welcome package — the apartments are delivered clean and ready, but without basic groceries (coffee, salt, oil, sugar). The Tommy supermarket is 600 m from the apartment (a 7-minute walk) — if you arrive during opening hours, it is easy to stock up for your first day.

Prices and seasons

What is the difference between low and high season?
The main season is the peak of summer — warmest sea (~25°C), longest days, but also the biggest crowds. Pre-season (May, June) and post-season (September, October) offer lower prices, fewer tourists, and nature in full bloom (or Indian summer) — often the most beautiful months for those who know where to look.
When does the main season start?
The main season runs from 1 July to 31 August.
What is the lowest price per night?
The most affordable option is Apt 4 (studio for 2 people) — €45 per night in the low season.
What is included in the price?
Everything is included in the price — Wi-Fi, air conditioning, parking, bed linen, towels, and even the tourist tax. No hidden extras.
Is there a surcharge for short stays (fewer than 3 nights)?
As a rule, we maintain a minimum stay (3 nights in the low season, 5 nights in the main season), but in off-season months, a shorter stay can exceptionally be arranged for an additional charge — please contact us with specific dates.
How much does an extra bed for one person cost?
An extra person in Apt 7 or Apt 8 (above the standard capacity of 6) is charged by arrangement — please let us know when booking for the exact price.
Is tourist tax charged for children?
Under Croatian law, children under 12 are exempt from tourist tax, and children aged 12–18 pay 50%. Since tourist tax is included in our price, you incur no extra costs regardless of the children's ages.
Can I get a written offer before booking?
Absolutely. All our bookings begin with a written offer — send an inquiry with your dates, number of guests, and preferred apartment, and we will send a detailed offer with the final price, usually on the same day.

Beach and sea

How far is the beach from the apartment?
The beach is literally across the street — 30 meters from the entrance, a one-minute walk. You can hear the sea from the apartment, and dip your feet in the water before your towel even hits the sunbed. The beach is pebble with some sand.
What is the beach like — sandy, pebble, or rocky?
To be completely honest: Prališće is a pebble beach with some sand — not fine sand like Greek or Caribbean beaches. The pebbles are fine and rounded, not rough, and parts of the beach have genuine sand. For the Croatian coast, this is much better than most surrounding beaches — there are no sharp rocks or large pebbles that hurt your feet. The entry into the sea is gentle and safe for children.
What is the beach called?
Our beach is called Prališće — a local name from ancient times when women used to wash laundry in the sea there. That is where the name comes from — from 'pralo' (washing place).
Is the beach suitable for small children?
Ideal for little ones — fine, rounded pebbles with some sand, a shallow entry into the sea (you can walk 20–30 m and it is still knee-deep), and a playground 200 m away. Parents often tell us that their children took their first swim right here at Prališće.
Is there a fence or a lifeguard on the beach?
There is no dedicated fence or permanent lifeguard — it is a public beach in a quiet bay. Parents supervise their children themselves.
Can I rent a sun lounger and umbrella?
We have several of our own sun loungers that we lend to guests free of charge — just check with Ivica; if they are available on your day, they are yours. It operates on a first-come, first-served basis. There is also commercial rental right on the beach if you don't manage to get ours.
Is there a shower on the beach?
Yes, there is a public shower (cold water) on the beach to rinse off salt and sand.
Is there a cafe or restaurant on the beach?
Rico bar is literally on the beach — coffee in the morning, beer in the afternoon, ice cream for the kids, cocktails at dusk. They also have a grill where they prepare excellent French fries (the owner's personal recommendation) and burgers, plus other fast food. Local charm: vendors stroll along the beach during the day selling boiled corn and fritule (sweet Dalmatian fried dough pastries) — an authentic experience.
Can I bring my own gear (board, kayak, mask)?
Feel free to bring your own gear — snorkeling mask, kayak, paddle board, whatever you like. The sea in Marina and the surrounding area is clean and clear, ideal for snorkeling. If you need storage space (for a kayak or SUP), check with Ivica — he will help store your equipment in a secure spot between uses.
What is the sea temperature in summer?
The sea warms up gradually — in May it is still fresh (18–20°C, for the brave), in June it is perfect for most (21–23°C). The peak is July and August — 24–26°C, like a warm bath. September is often the best month: the sea is still 22–24°C, with fewer crowds.

Our parking is free and private — right in front of the house. It is included in the price of your stay, with no extra costs.

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed at Villa Bilic — this is our policy across all apartments to protect guests with allergies and ensure the preservation of our furniture.
Is there a baby high chair?
We currently do not have baby high chairs. If you need one, we recommend bringing your own portable version — there are clip-on table models that fit easily in luggage.
Is there a children's playground nearby?
Yes, a children's playground is 200 m from the apartments — a 3-minute walk. It is close to the beach and Rico bar.
Do you offer discounts for children?
The apartment price is fixed for its capacity (e.g., 4 people), regardless of age. Children sleeping in a baby cot do not count towards the total number of guests.
Up to what age do children stay free?
Children up to 2 years old sleeping in a baby cot stay free of charge and do not count towards the number of guests. From 2 years of age, children are counted towards the apartment capacity at the same rate as adults (since what you are paying for is the apartment, not the individual person).
Is there a pediatrician or pharmacy in Marina?
Yes, Marina has a pharmacy and a general practice medical clinic in the center (about 800 m from Villa Bilic). For a pediatrician, the closest option is Trogir (a 15-minute drive) — multiple pediatricians and emergency medical services. In case of an emergency, always call 194 (ambulance) or 112 (universal emergency number).

House rules and smoking

Is smoking allowed in the apartment?
Smoking inside the apartments is prohibited — this applies to all apartments without exception. Reason: protecting guests with allergies and preserving the quality of furniture and textiles.
Is smoking allowed on the terrace?
Yes, smoking is permitted on the apartment terrace. An ashtray is provided in the apartment.
What time do quiet hours start?
Quiet hours are from 22:00 to 07:00 — this is standard house rules in Croatia. We kindly ask guests not to speak loudly on the terraces or play loud music after 22:00. This ensures everyone can enjoy a peaceful night by the sea.
Can visitors come over (party, BBQ)?
A small visit (1–2 people, for a coffee or an afternoon) is fine — please inform host Ivica. Larger gatherings (parties, BBQs, more than 4 additional people) are not permitted without prior agreement and a possible surcharge.
Who covers the cost if something breaks?
Accidental minor damage (a broken glass, a damaged kitchen utensil) is not charged — that is part of a normal stay. For larger or deliberate damage (broken furniture, damaged appliances, damage to walls), the guest covers the cost of repair or replacement by mutual agreement.
Is there a security deposit?
We do not take a security deposit. The 15% deposit paid upon booking serves as confirmation of your dates, and the remainder is paid upon arrival. Any potential damage is handled amicably.

Food, shops, restaurants

Where is the nearest grocery store?
In Marina, you have the Tommy supermarket (600 m / a 7-minute walk, widest selection: groceries, wine, local products, toiletries) and Apcentar (600 m / an 8-minute walk, a smaller general store, open later in the evening). Tommy summer opening hours are usually 7:00 – 22:00, but please check their website as they may vary. For urgent shopping outside regular hours, Apcentar is typically open longer.
Is there a market with local produce?
Marina has a small local market (in summer, morning hours) where local growers sell fruit, vegetables, olive oil, and cheese. A larger market is in Trogir — Pazar (every morning in the town center) with much more variety and authentic Dalmatian products. Highly recommended for olive oil, cheese, local honey, and wine.
Can you recommend a restaurant nearby?
In Marina, you have a solid selection — here is what we most often recommend to our guests: Restoran More (a trusted choice in Marina), Hilla restaurant (in the very center, lovely atmosphere), Rico bar (directly on Prališće beach, ideal for fast food — owner's personal recommendation: French fries and burgers). There are also several other options in the center of Marina. For fine dining or a special dinner, Trogir is a 15-minute drive away with a much wider selection. Host Ivica will gladly give you recommendations upon arrival based on your mood and taste.
Is there food delivery (pizza) in Marina?
Food delivery in Marina is limited — it is not developed as it is in Split or Trogir. We recommend picking up food for takeout or cooking in the apartment (the kitchens are well equipped). For 'lazy' evenings, you have restaurants in the center of Marina (a 10-minute walk).
Is there a bakery nearby?
For fresh bread and pastries, you have two options: a bakery in the center of Marina (open from early morning around 6:00, traditional bread, pastries, burek, about 500–700 m walk from Villa Bilic) and a kiosk 100 m from us (towards Rico bar) — seasonal, does not open every day, but when open it offers pastries, small grocery essentials, and other items. Very convenient for 'forgotten little things' as it is literally a minute's walk away. Host Ivica can let you know the current status of the kiosk upon arrival.
Is there a seafood restaurant?
Yes, there are several fish restaurants in Marina and the surrounding area — Marina is a fishing harbor, so the fish is fresh and locally caught. A restaurant by the beach (200 m from Villa Bilic) often serves the catch of the day. For fine dining, we recommend restaurants in Trogir or Rogoznica (a 15–20 minute drive).

Excursions and activities

Which excursions do you recommend from Marina?
Marina is a central hub from which you can explore all of central Dalmatia. Half-day trips (up to 4 hours): Trogir (13 km / a 15-minute drive, UNESCO old town, cathedral, Kamerlengo), Vinišća and Sevid (neighboring fishing villages, 8–13 min, small taverns), boat trip to Drvenik (half day, swimming on the islands). Full-day trips: Split (40 km / 45 min, Diocletian's Palace, Marjan, Riva), Krka NP (54 km / a 1-hour drive, Skradinski Buk waterfalls, swimming permitted in season), Šibenik (UNESCO cathedral, less touristy than Split). All-day trips (early departure): Plitvice Lakes NP (230 km / 3 hours, Croatia's most famous national park), Hvar (by ferry from Split, ideally a 2-day trip), Mostar (Bosnia and Herzegovina, a 3-hour drive, beautiful old town). Host Ivica is here to assist with recommendations and arrangements.
How long is the trip to Krka and can it be done as a day trip?
Krka is a one-hour drive (54 km) — a perfect day trip. We recommend setting off early (around 8:00) and returning in the evening. It gets quite crowded in high season, so arriving early helps a lot.
Can I rent a boat or paddle board?
Yes, in Marina harbor (ACI) — 1.5 km from Villa Bilic — you can rent a boat (with or without a skipper). Prices start from €80 per day, depending on the boat size. For SUP / paddle boards, the easiest option is to check directly at Prališće beach where rentals are available from time to time (in summer). Host Ivica is happy to recommend a reliable rental provider.
Is there a tourist agency or guide in Marina?
In Marina and Trogir, there are several travel agencies that organize excursions (Krka, Plitvice, island tours, rafting). Host Ivica will gladly recommend reliable agencies and can help you with bookings. Boat excursions depart directly from Marina ACI marina.
